Horse Advisory Committee needs your input!

HAC needs your input as we plan our 3rd Horse Show! ๐Ÿด

Please take a moment to choose the date that works best for you and select your must-have classes for this show.

For reference, our February 21 Show will include:
English: Showmanship, Pleasure, Equitation, and Bareback
Western: Showmanship, Pleasure, Horsemanship, Bareback, Reining, and Western Riding

Now we want to know — what classes do YOU want to see at the 3rd show?
Only pick the ones that make you say, “I have to have that!”

Please complete your survey by November 7, 2025, so we can reserve the arena for the date with the most votes.

Subject: Reminder: Importance of Attending Both Project & Community Club Meetings ๐Ÿ€

Dear 4-H Families,

As we move into another exciting year of learning and growing together, we want to take a moment to remind everyone about the importance of attending both your Project meetings and our Community Club meetings.

Each type of meeting plays a special role in your 4-H experience:

๐Ÿพ Project Meetings – These focus on your specific area of interest. You’ll learn hands-on skills, gain new knowledge, and connect with others who share your passion for that project.

๐Ÿ€ Community Club Meetings – These meetings bring all members together, no matter their project. They’re where we build leadership, practice public speaking, plan community service projects, and vote on club business. Participation here helps you grow as a well-rounded 4-H member!

Both meetings are key to your success in 4-H — one builds your project knowledge, and the other builds your leadership and life skills.

We look forward to seeing everyone at both types of meetings and continuing to make our club strong and active!

If you ever have a conflict or question about attendance, please reach out — communication is always appreciated.

Thank you for your continued dedication and support!

Warm regards,

Michelle Weese

Record Books

✨๐Ÿ“š Don’t Wait—Start Your Record Book Today! ๐Ÿ“š✨

Hey 4-H’ers! We know summer feels far away, but here’s a secret: your record book doesn’t like procrastination. Waiting until next July to try and remember every project, event, and community service activity? ๐Ÿ˜… That’s like trying to cram a whole year’s worth of homework into one night—no fun!

Starting your record book now means:

✅ Less stress later

✅ Better details and memories recorded

✅ A stronger book when judging time comes

✅ More time to make it shine ✨

So grab your notebook, computer, or whatever you use—and start jotting down what you’ve done so far this 4-H year. Your future self will thank you (and so will your leader ๐Ÿ˜‰).

Need a little help? ๐Ÿ’ก You can find guides, tips, and resources right here on our blog under the “Record Book” tab.

Remember: Little by little, page by page, you’ll build a record book you’ll be proud of!

๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ’š Don’t delay—start today!

Cloverbuds - Swine Focus this year

Hi Cloverbud Families,

This year we are in need of a volunteer to lead the cloverbuds as I will be helping lead the market swine project, community club leader and on the horse advisory committee, as the President.

If we have any parent who is willing to get certified let me know. In the mean time I am more than happy to have our current cloverbuds come to our swine meetings and begin to learn about that. That will be helpful to any of them that have a sparked an interest in showing swine once they turn 8!

If you are wanting to do this please let me know via email at countrykickers4h@gmail.com so that I can send you those dates.

Thanks!
Michelle

 Dear 4-H Families.

As we approach the end of another enriching 4-H year, it's time to plan our celebratory gathering! We've received two venue suggestions and now need your input to select the perfect spot for our end-of-year celebration. Timely decisions are crucial to secure group discounts and room availability, so please cast your vote by Tuesday, May 7, 2025, at 9:00 AM.

Date Options: July 19 or August 9 (marjoity vote)      Select only one venue.

Venue Options:

Scottsdale PrincessWild West Summer

From the moment you arrive, young wranglers will be greeted with special surprises at check-in, setting the stage for a summer packed with excitement. Cast a line in our fishing lagoon, gather ‘round for campfire storytelling, and take part in high-energy poolside games led by our spirited Fairmont Fun team. When the sun sets, kick back with Dive-In Movies under the stars and watch the night sky come alive with a spectacular fireworks display every Saturday.

The adventure doesn’t stop there—explore The Frontier, where you can pan for gems, master mini-golf on The Range, and learn roping and barrel racing.

JW Marriot - Aqua Nights -

Cool off in the waters of AquaRidge, which includes Canyon Creek Lazy River, signature pools and now three exciting new water slides.

Guests staying at the resort will receive up to 4 wristbands for the waterpark per room.   Availability of waterpark areas may be affected by weather conditions.

Voting Details:

Important Information:

  • Each 4-H family will have one hotel room covered by the club for the 4-H member and their parents.

End of Year Party - Submissions are being requested

 Hello,

At tonight's meeting the club members discussed a year end party. It was requested that we have an extension to have other members (who didnt' make it to the meeting) submit their input on what we can do for a year end party.

Please submit to me your ideas no later than May 1st by 5pm. Your submission must include a total price for the event, and some dates of when we should do this event. Things to keep in mind: We have 44 youth members, which is 25 families.

Here is what was suggested at the meeting: Trampoline park, Studio movie grill, overnight at Scottsdale Princess. If there is something you are interested in please help your child by calling the place and get an estimate.

Example: Scottsdale Princess is $169 per room x 25 families = $4225 Only dates available are July 19 or August 9

Submissions are due to me via email by May 1st. Send to countrykickers4h@gmail.com. I will then put a voting survey together and the most voted for will be the winner.
